It’s a great way to immerse yourself in nature, get a good workout in, and recharge your batteries. Hiking is where the trail meets the people, and mountain sports meet cultural adventure. Hiking is a great way to enjoy more time in the great outdoors while also getting some fitness in.

GAME -VIEWING

Our predator-free reserve allows you to explore the farm on foot and which provides a different and unique experience to experience game-viewing. Go out with a sense of adventure. Keep your eyes open and your camera ready. Feel the thrill and adventure of a close encounter with our wildlife.

BRAAING

Braaing will be a relaxing activity which you will enjoy at |Om|omsens, spending quality time with friends and family. Enjoying a glass of the exquisite wines from the region or enjoying a cold beer, this food related activity is central to your stay at |Om|omsens.

BIRD-WATCHING

Bird watching is an activity for the whole family, which requires little preparation and eager to learn everything that nature can teach us. With bird-watching will be able to see first-hand the different indigenous species, their habits and behaviours. You will enjoy the photographic opportunities during bird-watching on our farm.

HOT-TUB

Add a little indulgence to your holiday in our wood-fired hot tubs. Perfect for relaxing, enjoy an evening destressing in one of our wood fired hot tubs, which sit up to six people. They are a perfect way to relax, de-stress and add a little luxury to your holiday

JUNGLE-GYM

Children will enjoy to move, crawl, stretch, climb, skip, or do whatever they love in the open natural space. also learn to stretch and manipulate their bodies according to their work.

KAYAKING

Kayaking is an excellent low-impact activity that improves fitness, increase strength and add to your flexibility. You will enjoy the time spent with nature as our kayaks will provide an opportunity for you to look at the natural habitat of plants, birds and other wild-life.

MOUNTAIN-BIKING

Mountain biking is a fun and exciting way to enjoy the many health benefits of regular fitness and cardio-vascular exercise. Mountain-biking allows you to explore the natural landscape which you can cover over longer distances than when you hike. Our mountain-biking experiences consist of our dirt roads and dedicated trails which are smooth, pleasant rides on wide, tracks over through renosterveld and fynbos hills. 

OUTDOOR GYM

Our goal is to create pleasant, attractive and functional outdoor environments for everybody, regardless of age and ability level. Exercising outdoors has numerous health benefits that you cannot find exercising indoors. The sunlight, fresh, renosterveld and wild-life provides you with several benefits for your physical and mental well-being.

PIZZA-MAKING

Not only is this activity fun for the little ones, friends and family, but it will also take an item off of your to-do list of activities at |Om|omsens. Making a pizza is an excellent group activity, and when you’re done, dinner is already taken care of. Pizza-making is a great way of engaging children in a craft activity and the perfect way to get your kids in the kitchen.

Photography adds so much value to our lives, it allows you to share your life and experiences in meaningful ways. Our farm has plenty to offer and all of nature is encountered at close range. Close encounters of the night-sky, wild-life, plants, mountains and landscapes are the experiences that will linger in your memory long after your visit to |Om|omsens.

STAR-GAZING

Astronomy can be daunting for beginners — after all there’s a whole universe out there! But stargazing basics don’t have to be hard. Make stargazing a family activity! The best way to start exploring the night sky is with the unaided eye. Taking time to gaze into the night sky quiets the brain and inspires creativity today the same way it has for centuries.

SWIMMING

There is something about the swimming pool that just makes people happy. At the swimming pool, we are at one with the elements. As well as being fun, swimming is a great way to keep fit and make friends. Swimming is a low-impact activity that has many physical and mental health benefits.

TRAIL RUNNING

Trail running is fun and adventurous fitness activity that is accessible to everyone. You can have plenty of fun, relaxation recharging the batteries. Our running trail cater to all fitness levels, from a brisk walk to family-friendly fun run. Seeing how beautiful the trails are, will make you feel like taking up running.
